Boulder to Denver to Bozeman

Last day of the amazing road trip all over the us but still lot of things too watch later
. . .

The last 3 states.
Start from boulder to denver at 4am the fly back for josh was at 6am.
There is no more josh for the last 12 hours of drive.

This last one was a tough one really tough: 2 snow storm in Wyoming.Which is really scary because there is some places with no shoulder so it's just a flat white land all around you.
And after that it was a lot better not a lot faster but better until i got so close to be out of gas in the middle of the nowhere east Montana. Luckily there were lots of hills where i could save some gas with the trailler pushing me and driving no faster than 30 miles per hour when the speed limit is 75 it's really scary.
But finally a gas station arrived just when my motor shut off in front of the gas pump.

And after that last stretch of 4hours and Kelly here I'm.
First Kelly's impression: "you should go to bed you look tired."
hahaha I was probably looking like a zombie.

Boulder

Beautiful little city with Wade the Handicap lol.

Wade playing the mountain man in his cave.

A little hike up to the hill of boulder witch was nice and after parties like a college kid lol

Sixth step

One of the most stressful drive that we did.

Moab UT-> Boulder CO

A little 6h30 min drive that finished to be 20 h.
After 2 hours we heard that the Vail pass was closed because of an accident so we were thinking to take a detour but there, a detour is 10hrs more of driving and the budget was tight so we thought that when we will arrive at Vail pass the road would be free but we didn't got this chance. It was snowing really hard and with the trailer it was starting to be a little sketchy.
They were so many cars and so many people, we went to the cheapest hotel of Vail which should be $150 per night but no more vacancies so we decided to park a close as possible of the road to restart as soon as possible the next morning.
BUT
Now a HUGE THANKS TO RACHAEL THE girl with THE connections. She has a friend that live in Vail that Helped us so much, was really nice and saved our lifes of the frost. We were ready to sleep in the car like we did all the way before with more blankets, towels and everything we could find to be warmer when Rachael called us to bring us back hope THANKS again. We got a futon that was really comfy so we had our first night in a bed so we went to buy the breakfast for our savers and finally left at 9am to Boulder.

Moab

Moab with all the parks that there is around you can stay for 2 weeks and never do the same trail or see the same thing. The place for the mountain bikers and lazy mountain bikers (Jeepers lol).So much to do so we did the most touristic one.
I copied the first picture from a web site of Utah. I really don't know if we did the wisest choice by doing this park lots of people talked about 2 other park as great or better. What ever there is so much to do. Another day.

The archers national park.

Not a bunch of pictures because josh still didn't send me his pictures. Our camera died and so we finished to take pictures with the phone of josh witch i hope will be good enough but i have only one advice: just go there and love it like we did.

fifth step

Santa Fe ->Taos->Mesa Verde->Moab

Taos... one of my favorite short stops...so magnificent, a huge plateau with a huge hole in the middle (the rio grande river starts here) and mountains all around. There is so much to see around here so many little things that have to be seen, but 1/2 day + 1/2 day etc equals not enough time. Sad

Mesa Verde, long drive, we had to unhook the trailer and drive 20 miles for what? Please. The park was closed that did not allow us to visit the caves if there isn't a ranger with you, such a pain. But at least it was an efficient tour of efficient tourists. We saw all the caves in not even an hour from far away, but we saw them all.

And THE weird stuff was the first cactus that we saw. There was still some snow.

Really cool park.I will have to go back when it's open and do a little tour to know exactly what was going on there and when.

After that,we did a couple more hours of driving and we arrived at Moab.

Fourth step

After the shortest step we are in the longest one ever from New Orleans LA --> Santa Fe N.M

20 hours of driving normally.

But we got really lucky because on this long desert landscape and straight roads we got the wind in our faces for approximately 10 hours which allowed us some unexpected breaks, like really unexpected. The first one was to sleep beside a little bbq place that was so cute and posh, lol, where we spent 3h to sleep a little and the second one was for me a good opportunity to learn more about the history of the US. Yes, in Elk. Oklahoma there is the national museum of route 66.

Lot of little stories about this road that traveled from east to west.
A really nice museum with a lot of objects and machines saved all those times so nice stop.

And after that, back to the driving, long long long driving, but luckily i had my co-pilot that was present to comfort me when i was locked at 55mph.

I give josh lots of shit, but it's because i love him and he knows that without him i wouldn't be able to make it.

During this nice drive we got another good surprise when a truck passed us and blew his tire just in front of us which broke the bug shield and almost blew up the wind shield.

Scary shit... but finally we made it to Santa Fe in 26h not that bad in fact but so so long.

New Orleans

New Orleans is a really nice place with a really unique french quarter and a street that is great.
Bourbon street, yes!!!...full of bars and restaurants but because of the driving we couldn't really enjoy it like we would normally, but we found one of the most unique patios and a beautiful terrace.

I would like to say a huge thanks to the city of New Orleans too for the parking opportunity that we had with THE trailer and more than that the parking ticket that we got...
But such a nice place. I will have to go back and spend a ton more times there.
